As one of the seven Sacraments, Marriage must be celebrated according to the rubrics of the Catholic Church and the policies and guidelines of the Diocese of Tucson and Holy Family Church.
Marriage - One of the Blessed Sacraments


Marriages must be scheduled at least six months in advance


.  To have your wedding at Holy Family Church, bride and groom must:

  •  Be registered and actively participating in a parish for at least six months prior to applying

  •  Submit a Wedding Preliminary Information Form at least six months in advance of the desired wedding date.

  •  Meet with the pastor or deacon for a preliminary interview.

  •  Attend classes in Natural Family Planning at The Fatima Women's Center. Address: 200 S Stratford Dr, Tucson, AZ 85716 Phone:(520) 979-3430.

  •  Submit all required documents.

  •  Complete wedding preparation instruction here (for registered, participating members of Holy Family Church) or at your home parish.

  •  If you are not a member of Holy Family, you will need a letter of permission from you pastor to have your wedding here. Your letter must indicate you have been a participating member of that parish for at least six months AND you have permission to celebrate your wedding at Holy Family. Your preparation must be completed at your home parish and meet our requirements for Natural Family Planning and marriage preparation.


 Security Deposit: $50.00 This NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is to hold your date and time. It is in addition to the stole fee. The security deposit will be accepted only after the pastor has sanctioned the wedding. Stole Fee for all applicants - $400.00 Investigation Inquiry Fee, if needed - $50.00



    Weddings are normally scheduled on Fridays at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., or 7:00 p.m. (except for first Fridays) and on Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. Other times are available with the approval of the pastor.    No arrangements with a reception hall, invitations, etc. can be made until you have met with the pastor and the Wedding Date Confirmation has been signed. Dress Code: Strapless gowns, plunging necklines, spaghetti straps, bare shoulders, bare backs, gowns shorter than 2 inches above the knee, are not appropriate attire for a Catholic bride and her attendants and are not allowed. If the dresses are deemed immodest, the wedding may be cancelled at the discretion of the celebrant or the attendant.
